Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineering Manager to lead enterprise application delivery, modernization initiatives, and Agile software engineering teams delivering PHP/LAMP-based solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog reviews, retrospectives, and delivery checkpoints.
Manage software delivery from requirements through development, testing, release, and production support.
Coordinate enterprise PHP/LAMP development teams.
Lead application architecture, modernization, and technical improvement initiatives.
Manage product backlogs, sprint plans, release schedules, risks, and dependencies.
Drive PHP upgrades, API modernization, CI/CD improvements, and cloud adoption.
Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve productivity and delivery quality.
Ensure engineering quality, testing standards, documentation, and release readiness.
Produce application assessments, modernization roadmaps, and executive summaries.
Foster engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in application delivery or engineering leadership.
Strong PHP/LAMP application experience.
Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
AWS application development or cloud migration experience.
Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and release management.
Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
